Nitecore Digicharger D2 - Technical information and Demonstration
Here is the technical review and demonstration of the new Nitecore Digicharger D2.
This is a 'one for all' charger that can be used to charge single cells of the most popular chemistries. The unit itself has an IEC 60230 female C7 (figure of 8) AC connector that is very common. The unit will run on 12v DC and 110v - 220v AC power.
This charger automatically recognises the battery's chemistry and selects the appropriate charging mode, CC (Constant Current) and CV (Constant Voltage) for Lithium cells or dV/dT (Delta Volts / Delta Time) for charging Nickel cells.
Do bear in mind that the D4 distributes the charging current across the other slots thereby leading to a longer charge completion time. This charger will completely charge a ~2500mAh Ni-MH cell in ~2.5 hours. If fast charging is what you're looking for, there are 15 minute fast Ni-MH chargers out there cost around the same price as this one.
