Retraction to: Electronic Cigarette Use and Myocardial Infarction Among Adults
During peer review, the reviewers identified the important question of whether the myocardial infarctions occurred before or after the respondents initiated e‐cigarette use, and requested that the authors use additional data in the PATH codebook (age of first MI and age of first e‐cigarettes use) to address this concern. While the authors did provide some additional analysis, the reviewers and editors did not confirm that the authors had both understood and complied with the request prior to acceptance of the article for publication.
Government Recommends Smokers Dump the Cigarettes and Pick up the Vape

The Juul did things differently: it packed a high-nicotine, low vapor hit in a small, USB drive-shaped package, with a colorful range of flavors and a buttonless, intuitive design. It wasn't just a hot new e-cigarette — it was a hot new tech gadget. Now, middle schools and high schools across the US are nervous about...
Let Them Vape
Government says e-cigarettes/vaping is the latest "epidemic" among teens. So the FDA says they will restrict them. Cities across the country are banning e-cigarette use in public. But e-cigarettes help smokers quit traditional cigarettes. Michelle Minton of the Competitive Enterprise Institute tells John Stossel that people have misconceptions about e-cigarettes. “It's about 95% less harmful than a normal traditional cigarette.” That’s because e-cigarettes let people get a hit of nicotine without actually burning tobacco. The burning of paper and tobacco leaves is what makes cigarettes so dangerous. Minton admits that the nicotine in e-cigarettes is addictive. But she says, “on...
